The late Dr. Zishiri was an accomplished public health professional who devoted his time and energy to the strengthening of TB care and prevention in Zimbabwe. He was passionate about working towards ending TB. He has indeed left an indelible mark in the medical fraternity, and will be remembered for the technical assistance to the National TB Control Program, and building capacity of local organizations working in the TB-HIV response.

As we look at his amazing work – we are reminded about his conversation with ZBC on the similarities between TB and COVID-19 and how people should protect themselves through proper wearing of masks, socially distancing and washing of hands.
