Weekly Bulletin KN-TB 4 -10 February
The Kunda-Nqob’iTB (KN-TB) is a five-year project supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and primarily contributes the National TB Control Program (NTP)’s finding missed TB patients, particularly among high Tuberculosis (TB) risk groups, linking them to care and treating them successfully in eight project priority districts in Zimbabwe. The lead partner in Zimbabwe is The Union Zimbabwe Trust (UZT), with three other local organizations as implementing partners, namely Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ), Jointed Hands Welfare Organisation (JHWO) and Baines Occupational Health Services (BOHS).
This week, a community-based volunteer (CBV) uses skills obtained to break barriers in a religious community to promote improved health seeking behaviours while a Drug Resistant TB (DR-TB) patient in Chirumhanzu testifies that TB is curable.
