Dr Barnet NyathiFounding Trustee and current Board Chairperson
Dr Nyathi is a Medical doctor with diplomas in public health and Venereology. He has extensive experience in Public health, having worked for the International Union Against TB and Lung diseases as Country Director in Zimbabwe; the United Nations as UNAIDS Country Programme Advisor for South Africa and Intercountry Team for Eastern and Southern Africa. He had a stint as Director of Health Services, City of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe

Advocate Gondai SitholeFounding Trustee
Mr. Gondai Sithole is an advocate for the peoples’ right to live in a society in which good public health practice is a priority. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree from the University of Zimbabwe and is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe. He is a Partner with Kantor and Immerman Legal Practitioners. Between October 2013 and December 2019, he served as a Board Legal Advisor to the Students and Youths Working on Reproductive Health Action Team (SAYWHAT), a non-governmental organization that focuses on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) issues.

Dr Davies Gordon DhlakamaFounding Trustee
Dr Dhlakama is a Public Health Specialist with a long history of working in the Ministry of Health and Child Care for more than three decades, assuming the role of coordinating health services across all tiers of the health delivery system, from district through to national level. He has special interest in health services management and community health systems. Dr Dhlakama is a medical doctor with a Masters’ degree in Public Health.

Mr Israel Ndlovu Trustee
Mr. Ndlovu is a Chartered Accountant with more than 37 years experience in financial management, business investments, local government finance, inter-governmental fiscal relationships and project management. He holds an Accounting degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He served as Chief of Party for a USAID/Zimbabwe project working with local governments and civil society and served as City Treasurer for 11 years in the Bulawayo municipality Mr. Ndlovu has expertise in designing, appraising financial and related management systems and has played a key role in building capacity in widening income base for Local Authorities in Zimbabwe.

Ms Sithembiso Maseko Trustee
Ms. Maseko is a Wellness Coordinator with public and private health experience spanning over 38 years. Her passion is training in community and occupational health, programming health and wellness initiatives and conducting social research. She holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) NUST and a BA Nursing Degree (UNISA). She has Diplomas in Community and Occupational Health. She is a Member of the Zimbabwe Occupational Health Nurses Association (ZOHNA) Advisory Board, Treasurer of the Zimbabwe Institute of Occupational Health Practitioners (ZIOSH) and the past President of ZOHNA. She represented the Employers’ Confederation of Zimbabwe (EMCOZ) in the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) of the Global Fund 2015-2021 and had an opportunity to provide the oversight role.
Management Team

Dr Ronald NcubeExecutive Director
Dr Ncube is a Public Health practitioner with 20 years of public health practice in Zimbabwe and Botswana. He had a three year stint heading Botswana’s National TB Programme, before joining the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease as Deputy Country Director for Zimbabwe, a position he held for six years before usurping his current role with UZT. In February 2022, Dr Ncube assumed the post of Executive Director. He has a keen interest in operations research as a means to inform best practice in public health.

Lambert MuirimiSenior Administrator
Mr Muirimi oversees the finance and administration functions of UZT and brings with him 28 years working experience in the private sector both locally and in the United Kingdom. He also worked for international development organizations at senior management level. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS) and holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration.

Dr Sithabiso Dube Technical Director
Dr Sithabiso Dube is an experienced public health specialist with demonstrated history in public and private hospital and health care facilities in Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe. She has a strong knowledge of data analysis, data visualisation, strategic information and education, clinic-laboratory interface, quality improvement, healthcare worker mentorship and training and scientific writing. She has a solid understanding of population health principles, passionately providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC). She has served as technical lead in USAID, Global Fund, CDC, DFID and SIDA funded projects supporting large and small teams of experts.
